How to apply for work in the Defence Forces

You can apply for work at the Finnish Defence Forces valtiolle.fi, where we publish the open positions. We recommend setting up a search alert so that you will receive an email alert of any tasks that may interest you.

In your application, describe how your competence and personal characteristics suit the position you are applying for. When recruiting, we will only use the information you have provided us. If you are invited to an interview, remember to bring your work and school certificates and an official ID with you. As the application process progresses, we may commission a personal suitability assessment and security clearance on you. The military recruitment process also includes a 12-minute running test. We notify all applicants of the recruitment decision.

Don’t let it discourage you if you are not selected the first time. We will have new positions opening up from time to time.
